Villa Tasca is a family home before it is a venue: the Tasca d'Almerita counts, with Giuseppe and Luisa Tasca running it since 2019, live here, and the romantic park that Beatrice Lanza and Lucio Tasca had laid out between 1855 and 1870 is the garden where ceremonies and receptions take place. The result is an event that never feels hired: the eighteenth-century majolica, the frescoes of the piano nobile and the little lake with its temple are the same ones the family's guests, from Wagner to Jacqueline Kennedy, saw before you.

The park is not a rented venue: it is the garden of a family that has tended it since 1855, and it shows in the details.

Since 2022 there has been one more reason guests arrive knowing where they are: the villa is the setting for the girls' night out in the second season of "The White Lotus".

Where the ceremony takes place

There is a small chapel in the park, suited to symbolic ceremonies and blessings for around forty people according to the portals that list the villa; larger ceremonies use the romantic garden, in front of the lake and the temple, or the great terrace with its blue-and-white majolica overlooking the park. A legally binding civil ceremony takes place at the venues of the municipality of Palermo; the villa then hosts the symbolic ceremony and the party. For couples from abroad, the paperwork for marrying in Italy is the first thing a local planner sorts out.

The reception: halls, stables and garden

According to the portals and caterers who work here, the frescoed halls and the Scuderia seat up to 240 guests indoors, while in fine weather the reception moves into the park, where capacity rises to several hundred, with a figure of a thousand quoted for large standing events. The piano nobile, with its reception hall painted with landscapes and the Music Room, serves for drinks and the more intimate moments; the terrace and the mosaic-floored patio under the arch for the cake and the photographs.

Two of the house's own experiences often find their way into the programme: a private concert in the Music Room, by the piano next to which the family keeps its autograph scores by Wagner, Verdi and Rossini, and a tasting of Tasca d'Almerita wines, the family's own estate, as an aperitif or after dinner.

How many guests

The villa suits both an intimate wedding, with the chapel and dinner on the piano nobile, and a large event in the park. The number that matters for the quote is seated guests: up to 240 indoors, more in the garden with the right structures, to be agreed with the house and the caterer.

Staying at the villa

The villa's four suites, on the ground floor and the piano nobile, sleep eight: usually the couple in the Contessa Suite, the frescoed master bedroom with the secret door to the boudoir, and parents or witnesses in the others. With the villa taken exclusively, a chef and a butler are present every day. Other guests stay in Palermo's hotels, fifteen minutes away, or in Mondello.

For couples who want the villa the evening before and the morning after as well, the exclusive-use formula for two or three nights is the one planners usually propose.

How guests get there

The villa is at Viale Regione Siciliana Sud-Est 399, on the road to Monreale: about 30 kilometres from Falcone e Borsellino airport, fifteen minutes from the historic centre. It is one of the few historic Palermo houses that cars can reach right up to the entrance, with the park absorbing arrivals; for groups coming from hotels in the centre, shuttles are arranged.

When to marry here

From April to June and from September to October the park is at its best: the blooms, the mild evenings, a reception outdoors without the heat of July and August, when the ceremony is better moved to late afternoon. The shaded park makes high summer possible too, with a schedule built around the climate. Palermo's winter is mild: for an indoor wedding in the frescoed halls, December and January are real months, not fallbacks.

How much it costs

Villa Tasca is one of the few venues of this calibre with clear rates. The figures the villa gave Italian Venues on 12 October 2026 for the hire, up to 250 guests: in high season (1 May to 31 July and 1 September to 15 October) 9,570 euros Sunday to Thursday and 10,976 euros on Friday and Saturday; in low season (16 October to 30 April, and August) 7,980 and 9,135 euros. Above 250 guests a staffing supplement applies.

Catering and all other suppliers are external and paid separately, and they are the lines that really make the total. The four suites for the couple are booked separately. Figures for the rest of Italy are in our guide to luxury wedding costs.

What to ask before signing

  • which spaces the proposal includes: chapel, garden, halls, Scuderia, terrace;
  • seated capacity indoors and in the garden with the planned structures, and the rain plan;
  • whether the four suites are included and for how many nights;
  • whether catering is in-house or external, and how it works alongside the family staff;
  • hours and limits for outdoor music, the villa being inside the city;
  • Tasca d'Almerita wine tastings and the other experiences to build into the wedding weekend.

What to see nearby

For a wedding or a multi-day event, the surroundings become part of the programme: welcome activities, excursions for guests, the day after the ceremony.
